Stock Updates - Van 4 and more Modern Stock

While work on the works project continues, some new stock is being worked on at the moment. The most important of which, is a model of FR Van 4. I aqquired it from the 009 Socioty Sales stand at Shepton Mallet and one repaint later, its ready for use on Blaencwm.

Also, Harlech Castle/Castell Harlech has finally recieved its name/builders plates produced by the Etching experts at Narrow Planet. They come highly recommended haing also produced plates for 'Linda' and 'David Lloyd George' to give two examples.

Along with these two projects, I've had photographs of two of the 3 coaches ordered from Boston Largs Works. Both photos copyright of Rob Waller:-

Commments on Harlech and Van 4 are more than welcome,

Until next time,

Jon

Further progress on Project Works

Some more work on the works layout including clearence tests with FR Coach '105' and 'Yeo'. I must say the layout's proving more photogenic than I first thought-

Comments as Normal always welcome.

Steam on the BLR, in the snow

A selection of photos taken during the last Steam Sesson that I ran the engine which was ironically, in the snow. Also the first time the new style run round was used with a loco release and siding for the stock to be pushed into to allow a runround at both ends of the line:-

Project Works

Evening all,

As mentioned before, I'm working on a second 009 Layout/diorama currently refered to as Blaencwm Works or Project X. Based around a Peco Modern MPD kit, i'm aiming to just provide somewhere to take photos of new items of stock and or test smaller engines within the confines. Alternatively, I'm planning to test DCC on it using the 3 Lilliput engines I have in my pocession. But enough talking, on with the pictures of it so far. Track is Peco Code 80 Settrack. Yes, this is a doing it on the cheap and using up what's left from my old N gauge layout.

As always, Comments always welcome

Layout Changes

Hi,

At the moment, I'm working on getting rid of a number of items to allow me to focus on key projects such as Blaencwm and a new 009 project (more on that later). I'm planning to get rid of at least 2 of my layouts leaving a number to be developed.

At the moment, the following will msot likely be sold off in thier component parts or complete:

Doveston (OO)
GWR Shelf (O)
Billington (N Gauge)

Selling/Dismantling the above layouts will allow for more resources to be plowed into the main layouts being worked on/developed:

Blaencwm (009)
Blaencwm works - Working title (009)
Doveston Yard - Working title (OO)
Billington Light Railway (45mm/G scale)

Once I decide what's going for definate I shall let people know but until then....

Until Next Time,

Jon
