Layout Work/Linda Improvements

Good evening,

Today, for once, I've done some major work to the layout. I've ballasted the Track and tested it over the last 48hrs and I've also completed the grass. At the moment, here's how the layout stands as of tonight.

Layout from the operator side

Layout from the 'public' side

Hopefully the layout will go to a show at some point but I don't plan too take it to one for a while although my original goal of finishing the layout for the Amberley Rail Gala 2011 is looking more and more do-able.

Linda's also had some work done. I've removed the dome and replaced it with the correct one and its nameplates have arrived. I'm planning to model the engine as is in April 2011 ie, all black with the minimal lining/paintwork detailing. This is the plan with all FR real world rolling stock whereas everything else, such as Arun and Axe, will be freestyle and painted to my personal preferences.

Jon

Boston Largs Works - FR Barns aka Works of ART

Good Morning everyone!

A couple of days ago, a package arrived for me from Boston Largs Works containing the two barns I had commissioned. All I can is, wow. They are some of the BEST coaches I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Truely Beautiful and worth the money paid for them. If you've ever considered commissioning items from Boston Largs, DO IT! You certainly won't regret it.

Anyway, on with the pictures. All with my Penhryn Lady 'Linda' and My L&BR Manning Wardle 'Axe':

Barns - Ffestiniog Railway Style

Hi Guys,

A couple of months ago, I commisioned a pair of FR Barn style coaches from Boston Largs Works. Well, yesterday, I got a e-mail saying they were ready and all I can say is, wow! A pair of truly stunning models.

Hiya,

I've added two new pages to the site. One for the locomotive list and another for the stock list.

Both can be accessed via the menu on the right.

Until Next time,

Jon
